ReadyRosie Comes To Rochester
Posted on February 21, 2017 by Deanna Spiotta
Excitement is brewing at ROC the Future for a new and exciting early education tool that is currently helping schools and communities across the nation deepen and scale their parent engagement efforts. We know that parent engagement is essential to educational success for Rochester’s children. That’s why ROC the Future has partnered with ReadyRosie to get high quality early childhood educational tools directly into the hands of parents and caregivers of 0-5 year olds.
Once parents and caregivers sign-up for free, they will receive videos several times a week, via email, text message, or mobile app, that model everyday activities they can do with their children in every day situations. The videos are available in English and Spanish and are designed to equip parents and caregivers to better prepare children for Kindergarten. The videos can be viewed from a smart phone, tablet, or any other computer device connected to the internet.
ReadyRosie is made possible through funding from the Farash Foundation, Friends and Foundation of the Rochester Public Library, Healthy Baby Network and the Children’s Institute.
