Are you interested in how to help your baby grow up to be strong, healthy, and smart?

Has pregnancy made your complicated life difficult and confusing?

Would you like help to handle some of life’s challenges?

If so, these centers may be just the place for you.

Healthy Start Center

The Center is located in Unity Health Systems St. Mary’s Campus at 89 Genesee St in Rochester. The Center offers supportive staff who will help you get connected to the services you need. The Center is a place where you can meet other women like yourself. You can learn new skills and get the support that will help you to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

Join us for:

  • Group discussions about what to expect during your pregnancy and delivery of your baby
  • Fun and useful activities (cooking classes, holiday parties for the whole family, and more)
  • Support groups (teens, parents, victims of sexual abuse, women struggling with the ups and downs of life)
  • Relaxation and stress reduction groups

Child care and transportation are provided FREE for participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

Comienzo Sano/Healthy Start CFHC

This Center is located in the Top’s Plaza at the corner of Clinton Ave. and Upper Falls Blvd. It is a partnership between PNMC and Rochester General Hospital’s Clinton Family Health Center (CFHC). CFHC provides bi-lingual (Spanish) health care in a respectful and friendly place. And right next door, PNMC offers supportive, bi-lingual staff who will help you get connected to the services you need. The Center is a place where you can meet other women like yourself. You can learn new skills, and get the support that will enable you to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. You do not have to receive your prenatal care at CFHC to participate in Center activities, and you do not have to speak Spanish. All are welcome.
