For Moms-to-Be....
“You are pregnant” can be the most wonderful or the most frightening words a woman can hear – and sometimes both! Whether your pregnancy is a longed-for event for which you have planned every detail, or is a surprise, you probably have much to learn about how to keep yourself and your baby healthy during and after your pregnancy. You may want someone to help you deal with some of the complications in your life, to teach you about what childbirth will be like, or just to be there for you. There are many resources in the community. Check out the information on this site by clicking on any of the subjects below.
Whatever else you do, please see a doctor or midwife SOON. Even if you are feeling fine, a medical provider can make sure that you and your baby are progressing well and can find hidden problems that could be serious later in the pregnancy. And she can help you learn about what to expect during pregnancy and delivery.
