Coordination of Community Efforts
Coalitions of consumers and providers work together to identify and address issues that affect healthy pregnancies and healthy families, including smoking cessation and perinatal mood disorders.
Information sessions range from brown-bag lunch-time “bites” of information to full-day conferences on perinatal subjects.
Resource directories, links to other sources of information, and a friendly voice on the phone… just some of the information available from PNMC.
The Healthy Start Center and Comienzo Sano
One-stop perinatal support centers that offer obstetrical care, pediatric care, and a range of FREE support services.
Community Partnership for Breastfeeding
The Perinatal Network of Monroe County is partnering with the University of Rochester on a 5 year breastfeeding initiative.

Staying in the Range (March 2009)
PNMC has received a new grant to develop a program to be offered starting next March at both Healthy Start Center and Comienzo Sano to assist pregnant women in managing their gestational weight gain.
