Meeting You Where You Are

staff-12-2016-2-croppedHave you ever been in need of help or in need of access to something and wasn’t sure what route to take?  Well fret no more!  The Healthy Baby Network Outreach Team is here to help!  Street outreach is when I go into your community – into local grocery stores, beauty supply stores, barber/beauty shops, laundromats, or simply walking in your neighborhood – to help you get connected to services you need. Walking in your neighborhood allows for authentic candid conversation and a chance for a healthy relationship to be built between you and me. Meeting you where you are can help eliminate the frustrations of finding a babysitter, transportation, or weather changes. This helps you be able to go straight to the source without going through 5 other steps to link you to services that best fits your needs.

Come along with me! We offer the chance for you to do street outreach in your neighborhood along with me and our Outreach Team. Volunteering can help you meet personal goals and gain skills. It helps contribute to self-growth, build confidence, communication skills, and team work. Although these skills can be great to add to your resume, volunteering also gives you an opportunity to give back to your community, to interact and build relationships, and to become resourceful and knowledgeable about the resources available in Rochester .
